The Florida Department of Corrections awarded a contract on January 27, 2026, for the procurement of one angle grinder kit with a contract value of $408. The specific equipment being supplied is a standard head angle grinder (Model TK137198406T) featuring a 20-volt direct current power system, a 4.5-inch wheel diameter, and a 5.0 ampere-hour battery capacity. The unit is equipped with a brushless motor, anti-rotation system, overload protection, and paddle switch type controls suitable for Type A and Type B wheel applications.

The contract period extends from the award date of January 27, 2026, through the completion date of March 31, 2026. While the documentation does not identify a specific prime contractor by name or identify a county or place of performance beyond the State of Florida, the award was executed by the Florida Department of Corrections. The minimal contract value and single-item procurement suggest this represents a straightforward equipment acquisition to support the Department's operational requirements during the specified performance period.
