About this award
The Florida Department of Corrections has awarded contract 15111510-25-STC (C78123) for the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The contract, valued at $45,000.00, is effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The pricing mechanism is based on the weekly average price for LPG for all companies at Hattiesburg, Mississippi, as reported by BPN's Weekly Propane Newsletter, with a firm markup or discount applied per the terms of State Contract 405-200-13-1.
The contract specifies a total quantity of 45,000 units of LPG delivery throughout the one-year performance period. The pricing structure utilizes a benchmark-based methodology tied to published market rates, allowing for cost adjustments while maintaining a fixed markup or discount component negotiated between the Department of Corrections and the awarded contractor. This approach provides cost certainty through the fixed adjustment factor while accommodating market volatility in the underlying commodity price.
