About this IDV

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded EMC Inc., a professional land surveying firm, an indefinite delivery contract (IDC) to provide a range of professional land surveying services primarily in support of border infrastructure projects. The $240 million IDC contract is a total small business set-aside and has a 5-year period of performance. Under this IDC, the Corps can issue firm-fixed-price delivery orders for services such as boundary surveys, topographic mapping, control surveys, research of historic land records, and other land surveying tasks. The contracted services will primarily support projects along the southern U.S. border in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, with some work in secondary states as well. EMC Inc. has demonstrated its capacity and qualifications to perform this work through its prior experience providing surveying and mapping services to various federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The contract includes a minimum guarantee of $2,500 for the base period, and the Corps has awarded over $5 million in task orders to EMC Inc. to date. These task orders cover a range of surveying services, including boundary surveys for CBP staging areas, topographic surveys and hydrographic surveys to support the Corps' civil works and military construction programs, and specialized services such as property boundary determinations and removable barrier surveys along the U.S.-Mexico border.
