About this IDV
The Army Program Executive Office for Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CSCSS) awarded an indefinite-delivery contract to PD Power Systems, LLC on April 24, 2017, with a $150 million ceiling for recapitalization of the Deployable Power Generation & Distribution System (DPGDS) Prime Power Unit (MEP-PU-810A/B). This is a single-award IDIQ with a fixed-price incentive firm target first article phase followed by a firm fixed-price production phase extending through April 23, 2027.
PD Power Systems is a veteran-owned small business. The contract procures design, development, first article testing, and production of recapitalized MEP-PU-810 power units—Models A and B to be converted to Models C and D configurations using contractor-developed modified work order (MWO) kits. The first article phase spans 32 months (18 months design and development, 14 months testing and finalization); the production phase covers 88 months including one 28-month period and five 12-month options. The first delivery order covered six first-article units (three Model C, three Model D). Anticipated first production delivery includes up to 35 MEP-PU-810C and 63 MEP-PU-810D units.
Performance occurs at Springfield, Virginia and Riverview, Florida. Work is performed under Purchase Description 6115-0132.
Recent delivery orders issued under this IDIQ total over $111.9 million across 34 task orders, with the most recent activity in April 2026. Orders cover prime power distribution systems for DoD medium voltage modernization, DPGDS power unit procurements, support equipment (winterization kits, adapter weldments, distribution centers), spare parts, and operator and field sustainment maintenance training. Delivery order values range from under $30,000 to $7.76 million for 12 MEP-PU-810D units. Recent orders drawn from PEO CSCSS and Air Force customers reflect steady modernization activity across installations.
