About this IDV
This single award IDV with the Department of the Army aims to procure an estimated 72 recapitalized Camel systems through firm fixed price and cost plus fixed fee arrangements. A sole source 8(a) task order valued at $5.5 million was issued in 2017 to procure 72 systems by March 2019 at the prime contractor's Oklahoma facility. Additionally, a non-set aside order valued at $10.4 million was awarded in 2017 for 101 systems to be delivered by March 2020, also at the Oklahoma location. The IDV has a potential value of $16.4 million through July 2021.
Under the terms of the IDV, the prime contractor will integrate 66 refurbished M1095 trailers furnished by the government with new 800-gallon water tanks. Additional work efforts, such as trailer recapitalization services and testing, will be compensated through cost reimbursement contract line items given the uncertainty in demand. The IDV structure provides flexibility for the Army to address recurring logistics requirements for specialized water distribution vehicles and trailers over the life of the agreement. Performance supports military equipment modernization and sustainment programs within the Army's materiel command portfolio.
