About this IDV
The University of Florida (UF) Division of Sponsored Research has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), valued at $146.3 million over 7 years. This IDC supports the development and refinement of animal and animal replacement models for evaluating candidate countermeasures against a range of infectious agents, including RNA viruses with pandemic potential, antimicrobial resistant infections, and neglected tropical diseases. The contract is divided into four task areas covering small animal models, non-human primate models, animal replacement and non-traditional animal models, and specialized reagent generation and distribution. This IDC enables UF to provide critical research services to support NIAID's mission in addressing priority infectious disease areas.
Additionally, UF has been awarded a $3,102,431.80 task order under the Tuberculosis Epidemiology Studies Consortium IDIQ contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The purpose of this task order is to conduct a "COMPARISON OF TST VS IGRAS IN LTBI PATIENTS", which involves research related to tuberculosis. As a leading public research university, UF has an extensive portfolio of federally funded research projects and initiatives across various agencies, including the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and NASA.
