The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) has awarded Repairtech International Inc., doing business as Repair TECH International, an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) with a ceiling value of $203,226.24 to provide remanufacturing services on B-1B aircraft compressor housings. Repair TECH International is a for-profit small business manufacturer specializing in remanufacturing turbine components and housings for various military aircraft, including the A-10, F-16, B-1B, B-52, E-3, and C-130. The contract has a period of performance running through January 26, 2025, allowing the AFSC to issue firm fixed price delivery orders as requirements arise to support the Air Force's aircraft sustainment and maintenance programs. To date, Repair TECH has received over $1 million in delivery orders across this IDC and other AFSC IDCs for turbine housing remanufacturing services.
The original pre-solicitation notice FA8118-19-R-0018 indicated the AFSC's intent to award a firm fixed price requirements contract for the remanufacturing of B-1B compressor housings, with a basic year plus four one-year option periods. The notice specified qualification requirements and identified Repair TECH International as one of the approved sources. The contract was set aside for small business participation, with the AFSC seeking to acquire these critical aircraft components from suppliers with the specialized engineering skills and manufacturing expertise to consistently deliver high-quality remanufactured parts in support of the Air Force's readiness objectives.
