The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) has been awarded a $500 million Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to support the agency's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program. This multiple-award contract, which does not have any set-aside designations, provides core infrastructure and data collection services for the SEER program, which conducts population-based cancer surveillance activities.
Under this contract, UNM HSC has received several delivery orders to perform specific tasks, including a $30.4 million order for core SEER program support, a $73,143 order for a patterns of care and quality of care study on urinary bladder and kidney cancers, a $74,932 order for pediatric cancer whole slide imaging, and a $63,171 order for a patterns of care and quality of care study on non-small cell lung cancer and melanoma. These task orders, which are primarily firm fixed price or cost-reimbursement in nature, leverage UNM HSC's expertise in cancer research, epidemiology, and data management to support the NCI's comprehensive cancer surveillance efforts.
