The US Agency for International Development Mozambique awarded a single-award indefinite delivery contract to Central Asia Development Group, Inc. with a potential value of $28 million to provide construction services in northern Mozambique. Under the IDIQ, task orders will be issued for individual fixed-price construction projects valued at a minimum of $7,500 each. Services include new construction, renovation, management, assessments, maintenance, water and sanitation systems, roads, energy, and building construction to support USAID's infrastructure development programs. The period of performance is five years from the June 30, 2022 award date, with an additional two years allowed to complete individual task orders. This IDIQ resulted from a December 2020 solicitation seeking proposals for similar construction contracts across northern, central, and southern Mozambique regions. Evaluation criteria included organizational structure, management plan, and experience requirements. The solicitation outlined a maximum $70 million in orders over five years to be awarded through multiple IDIQs. Firms were required to hold a Class V construction license in Mozambique to be eligible for fixed-price task orders issued under the IDIQs for individual projects occurring across Mozambique's 11 provinces. Third-party oversight of task order work will be provided by USAID's Architecture and Engineering services contractor.
