About this IDV
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service (USFS) has awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) valued at up to $250,000 to Bob Johnson Construction, a HUBZone-certified small disadvantaged business, to provide water handling equipment and related services for fire suppression and emergency response operations in USFS Region 5 (Pacific Southwest Region).
The contract, which is a total small business set-aside, will enable the USFS to efficiently source Type 3 and 6 Engines, as well as Type 1, 2, and 3 Support Water Tenders, to support local, regional, and nationwide fire suppression and all-hazard incidents. The contract provides the USFS with a pre-vetted pool of vendors capable of meeting comprehensive equipment and personnel requirements, allowing the agency to rapidly deploy critical water handling assets as needed. The IDC has an ultimate completion date of June 4, 2030, and will be administered through the USFS's Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) system.
