About this IDV
This multiple-award IDV was issued by the USDA Forest Service to procure heavy equipment and related services in support of wildland fire suppression and all-hazard incident response across Region 5. The prime contractor will provide dozers and excavators priced at hourly rates, not to exceed $250,000 over a two-year ordering period ending June 2023.
The original solicitation sought quotes from total small businesses to establish preseason BPAs within one of five dispatch centers located in Region 5. Equipment was to be positioned strategically near the selected dispatch center in order to meet response time requirements across the region. The Forest Service anticipated awarding agreements competitively using socioeconomic considerations including preferences for small disadvantaged businesses. Services acquired under the IDV will aid the Forest Service and cooperating agencies in preparedness and emergency response efforts throughout the Pacific Southwest area.
