Central Carolina Community College was awarded a $1,499,655 Project Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration under the YouthBuild federal grant program (CFDA 17.274). The grant will fund services from July 2021 through October 2024 to equip underserved youth with education and employment skills training to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Specifically, the College will provide post-secondary education opportunities, including apprenticeship training, to help youth obtain the skills and credentials needed to secure living-wage employment or continue their education. The YouthBuild program also supports related services such as academic support and counseling to develop workforce readiness and leadership abilities in participants.
