The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $543,502 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) project grant to St. Joseph's Villa, a non-profit organization based in Richmond, Virginia. The grant funding will support St. Joseph's Villa's rapid rehousing initiatives, homelessness prevention programs, case management services, and other supportive services aimed at combating homelessness and assisting vulnerable populations in the Richmond region. As a sub-recipient, St. Joseph's Villa has also utilized grant funding from the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation and the Virginia Department of Housing & Community Development to expand transit services for seniors and individuals with disabilities, including the purchase of paratransit vehicles. Through its federal grant awards, St. Joseph's Villa has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to providing comprehensive support to address issues of housing, transportation, and community development for the benefit of homeless and low-income individuals and families in the Richmond area.
