Grantee year three funding for suicide prevention grants provided by SSG FOX spgp

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) awarded a $746,200 Project Grant under the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (CFDA 64.055) to Operation Stand Down Tennessee, a non-profit veteran service organization. The award provides funding to support community-based suicide prevention efforts targeting veterans and their families in Tennessee through outreach, suicide prevention services, and connection to VA and community resources. This aligns with the VA's National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide, which blends community-based prevention with evidence-based clinical strategies. The grant will enable Operation Stand Down Tennessee to deliver critical mental health services, including suicide prevention counseling, case management, and resource referrals, from September 30, 2024 to September 30, 2025.

Suicide prevention grants are awarded to eligible entities to meet the needs of eligible individuals and their families through outreach, provision or coordination of suicide prevention services, and connection to VA and community resources as described in 38 CFR part 78
