Women's business development council

This $150,000 Project Grant award to the Women's Business Development Council (WBDC) in Stamford, CT was provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Office of Entrepreneurial Development under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance program (CFDA 59.043). The funding will support WBDC in delivering entrepreneurship training, business counseling, financial coaching, and other assistance to help women-owned small businesses in the local community overcome discriminatory barriers and achieve success. WBDC has received over $3 million in multi-year federal grant funding through this SBA program to provide specialized services for women entrepreneurs. This latest award builds on WBDC's ongoing efforts, including a recent $2 million 4-year Congressional Community Project grant and $420,000 in CARES Act funding to aid women-owned businesses impacted by COVID-19.
