About this award
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded a $150,000 Project Grant to the Women's Business Development Council (WBDC), a non-profit organization, under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance program (CFDA 59.043). The grant, effective September 30, 2023 through September 29, 2024, will enable WBDC to provide entrepreneurial training, business counseling, financial coaching, and other resources to support women-owned small businesses across Connecticut. WBDC's services are aimed at removing discriminatory barriers women entrepreneurs face in accessing capital, markets, and other critical business growth resources. This award is part of the SBA's broader efforts to fund non-profit organizations and Women's Business Centers that deliver specialized assistance to help women start and grow their small businesses.
