About this award

Written by GovTribe AI ·

The National Institute of Minority Economic Development (NIMED) received a $150,000 Project Grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Women's Business Ownership Assistance program (CFDA 59.043) to assist minority and women-owned small businesses in North Carolina. This funding will enable NIMED, a non-profit organization and community development corporation, to provide training, counseling, and other services aimed at removing discriminatory barriers these businesses face in accessing capital, resources, and economic opportunities. NIMED has been a long-standing recipient of federal grants from the SBA, Department of Transportation, and other agencies to support its mission of supporting minority and women entrepreneurs.
