Wisconsin women's business initiative corporation

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded a $150,000 Project Grant under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance Program (CFDA 59.043) to the Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC). This grant funding will enable WWBIC, a leading economic development non-profit, to provide training, counseling, and technical assistance to support the startup, growth, and sustainability of small businesses owned and controlled by women, particularly those who are socially and economically disadvantaged. WWBIC has an extensive track record delivering these services through previous SBA, USDA, and Treasury grant awards. The funding period for this award is September 30, 2023 through September 29, 2024. As a sub-recipient, WWBIC has also partnered with municipalities in Wisconsin to channel federal funding into small business loans, training, COVID-19 assistance, and microenterprise support at the local level.
