Office of women's business ownership

The federal Project Grant award of $150,000.00 from the Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Entrepreneurial Development under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance program (CFDA 59.043) provides funding to the Urban League of Louisiana, a non-profit civil rights organization, to deliver training, counseling, and technical assistance to women-owned small businesses in the New Orleans area. The goal is to remove discriminatory barriers women entrepreneurs face in accessing capital, markets, management, and other critical resources for business growth. The award supports activities such as entrepreneurship training, business consulting, financial literacy, mentoring services, and facilitating access to capital specifically for women-owned small businesses. This funding is part of the SBA's broader efforts to support women entrepreneurs through its network of Women's Business Centers across the country.
