Women's business enterprise council south

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded a $150,000 Project Grant under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance Program (CFDA 59.043) to the Women's Business Enterprise Council South (WBC South), a non-profit organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. The grant funding will enable WBC South to provide training, counseling, and technical assistance to small businesses owned and controlled by women, with an emphasis on supporting socially and economically disadvantaged women entrepreneurs in Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, and other Gulf South states. Through this initiative, WBC South will offer entrepreneurship education, business consulting, mentoring, networking opportunities, and capacity-building services to help women-owned and minority-owned small businesses overcome discriminatory barriers in accessing capital and markets. The grant period is from September 30, 2023 to September 29, 2024.
