The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded a $150,000 Project Grant under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance Program (CFDA 59.043) to Northeast Entrepreneur Fund, Inc. (doing business as Entrepreneur Fund) on Sep 30, 2023. The funding will support the delivery of training, counseling, and technical assistance to help small businesses owned and controlled by women, particularly socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, to access capital, markets, management, and other critical resources for business growth. As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Entrepreneur Fund has a track record of providing microloans, financial literacy education, business planning assistance, networking opportunities, and technical training to empower underserved entrepreneurs through its extensive service area in northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. The organization plans to leverage this SBA grant award, as well as its experience administering over $20 million in prior federal grants, to continue expanding access to its array of services for women-owned small businesses.
