Office of women's business ownership

This federal Project Grant award of $150,000 was provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Entrepreneurial Development through the Women's Business Ownership Assistance Program (CFDA 59.043). The award will fund Miles College, Inc., a private non-profit university designated as a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), to deliver training, counseling, and technical assistance aimed at assisting small businesses owned and controlled by women, with an emphasis on socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Key activities will include entrepreneurship training, business consulting, financial literacy education, and facilitation of access to capital for women-owned small businesses. This aligns with the program's goal of removing discriminatory barriers women entrepreneurs face in accessing critical resources for business growth and development.
