Houston women's business council - renewal base year (r-2022)

The Houston Women's Business Council, Inc., doing business as the Women's Business Enterprise Alliance, was awarded a $150,000 Project Grant from the Small Business Administration Office of Entrepreneurial Development. The grant will fund the organization's Renewal Base Year activities from September 30, 2022 through September 29, 2025 under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance federal grant program (CFDA #59.043).

The Women's Business Ownership Assistance program aims to support private, nonprofit organizations in assisting small businesses owned and controlled by women through training and counseling. It also works to remove discriminatory barriers these businesses face in accessing resources. Specifically, the Houston Women's Business Council will use this funding to provide entrepreneurship training, counseling, and resource assistance to women business owners in the Houston, Texas area for the duration of the three-year award period.
