About this award
The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) was awarded a $600,000 Project Grant from the Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of International Trade under the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP). The two-year award will support MDA's delivery of services to increase the number of small businesses in Mississippi that export, and to increase export values for those small businesses already exporting. The STEP program aims to help small businesses enter and succeed in the global marketplace through training, workshops, trade missions, and other export initiatives. MDA will utilize the federal funding to provide these types of export development assistance to small businesses across Mississippi through September 2024.
