About this award

The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) was awarded a $145,125 project grant from the Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of International Trade under the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP). The grant will support WBC's delivery of services to increase the number of Wyoming small businesses engaged in exporting and to increase export value for existing small business exporters through September 2024.

The SBA's STEP program provides funding to state governments for initiatives that expand export opportunities for small businesses. With its STEP grant, WBC will work directly with Wyoming small businesses to help them enter and grow their presence in international markets through activities such as trade show participation, trade missions, and design of international marketing campaigns. The grant will also allow WBC to provide export counseling and training to educate small companies on export regulations and strategies.
