Fnds is the only multidisciplinary professional society with an emphasis on FND. The society's mission is to disseminate knowledge, promote research, and improve the care of patients with FND. The 4TH international FND conference will be attended by an estimated 600 individuals from the U.S. And abroad, will feature 37 speakers and more than 250 presentations. This multi-disciplinary conference brings together leading international experts across disciplines including neuroethics. The meeting's educational sessions, networking events, and exhibit hall will facilitate exchange of information and ideas. This meeting also provides development opportunities for young professionals and students, and to: (1) share their research via abstract submission for poster presentation and general session presentation; (2) present challenging cases in a specifically designated "junior grand rounds" case study video session; (3) participate in a poster mentorship program by having senior fnds members provide commentary and feedback on their scientific work at the meeting; and (4) have accepted poster and oral presentation abstracts published in the journal of neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry. Registration will be provided by the association to all students selected to present in the "junior grand rounds" session. Functional disorders are an understudied, prevalent and disabling condition, and the second most common reason for a referral to a neurologist. The conference will advance scientific research in FND that can improve care and positively impact lives of patients with the condition.
