The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant of $747,563 to the City of Philadelphia Office of Homeless Services on March 11, 2025. The CoC Program is designed to promote community-wide strategies to address homelessness and provide funding for nonprofit providers, states, and local governments to quickly house homeless individuals and families.
The grant funding will support the City of Philadelphia's efforts to provide a range of eligible CoC Program activities, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and potentially homelessness prevention. The City of Philadelphia Office of Homeless Services, operating under the Managing Director's Office, will utilize the grant to deliver a comprehensive continuum of housing and social services aimed at minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the Philadelphia region.
