The National Park Service awarded a $1,781,442 Project Grant through the Outdoor Recreation Acquisition, Development and Planning program (CFDA 15.916) to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The Department will subaward these funds to the City of Brenham to develop Brenham Family Park. The project will include constructing a one-mile multi-use concrete trail, recreational detention ponds, wildflower viewing areas, restrooms, parking, security lighting, a pedestrian bridge, utility infrastructure, and park signage. The project aims to provide play and recreation opportunities for all ages and abilities within the City of Brenham. The performance period for this award is from May 21, 2024 to May 20, 2027.
