The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) was awarded a $617,690 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Outdoor Recreation Acquisition, Development and Planning Program grant (CFDA 15.916) by the U.S. National Park Service on Sep 15, 2023.
The grant will fund the installation of a splash pad, utility connections, construction of restrooms, pathways, design, engineering, permitting, surveys, archaeological assessments, and site amenities such as shade structures, outdoor tables, benches, and signage in Attridge Park, a 10.8-acre public park located in the City of Baraboo, Wisconsin. This project will update and increase outdoor recreation opportunities for residents of Baraboo and visitors of all ages and abilities. WDNR will subgrant the LWCF award funds to the City of Baraboo to execute the project by Sep 30, 2026.
