The City of Beaver, Oklahoma was awarded a $1,250,058 Project Grant from the National Park Service's Outdoor Recreation Acquisition, Development and Planning (CFDA 15.916) program to renovate the municipal swimming pool. The project will demolish and replace the current bathhouse, rehabilitate and update the existing pool and pump house, make fence openings and walkways accessible, install a shade structure, and add signage. This work is being conducted in partnership with the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, which is the designated sub-awardee for the grant. Completion of the project by September 30, 2026 will benefit the city and its visitors of all ages and abilities by enhancing recreational opportunities and accessibility. The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) is providing assistance to support this community infrastructure upgrade.
