The National Park Service awarded a $600,000 Project Grant to the Utah Division of State Parks under the Outdoor Recreation Acquisition, Development and Planning program (CFDA 15.916). The Utah Division of State Parks will subgrant the funds to the City of Ephraim to construct a new skatepark facility. The skatepark will include features requested by the local community such as rails, ledges, banks, roll ins, landscaping, utilities, lighting and other amenities. It will be located on 9,000 square feet of land that was previously a gravel pit and dirt pump track in an existing public park. Funds will support clearing and grading the land, installing storm drainage, constructing a concrete base and vertical structures, and installing rails and guard rails. The new skatepark facility will provide recreation opportunities for residents of Ephraim, Utah.
