The National Park Service awarded the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks department $338,077.63 on July 28, 2022 through the Outdoor Recreation Acquisition, Development and Planning program (CFDA 15.916) to improve public recreation opportunities in Troy, Montana. As the primary recipient, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will subgrant funds to the City of Troy to renovate Roosevelt Park. Renovations will include upgrading the playground with a shade structure, improving the skate park with a poured concrete facility and adding restroom buildings. A coin-operated shower and restroom and new splash pad will also be constructed. The City of Troy will replace the asphalt walkway from the parking lot to the splash pad with an accessible pathway. This project aims to expand community recreation in rural Troy through improvements to Roosevelt Park and its facilities.
