The Department of the Interior National Park Service National Office awarded a $400,000 Project Grant to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources on February 12, 2021 through the Outdoor Recreation Acquisition, Development and Planning federal grant program (CFDA 15.916).
The grant funding will support development of Augsburg Park owned by the City of Richfield, Minnesota. Specifically, the grant will fund installation of a universally inclusive playground with accessible rubber surfacing and burying of on-site power lines. The project aims to develop outdoor recreation areas and facilities consistent with the goals of the CFDA 15.916 program and Minnesota's Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. The period of performance for the grant is through September 30, 2021.
