The Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded Multnomah County, Oregon $1,025,484 on March 1, 2026, under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267). The award, a Project Grant, funds eligible costs to establish and operate projects under five program components: permanent housing (including permanent supportive housing for persons with disabilities and rapid rehousing), transitional housing, supportive services only, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and in some cases homelessness prevention. Eligible activities encompass COC planning, United Funding Agency costs for fiscal control and accounting, acquisition and rehabilitation of real property for housing or supportive services, new construction, and related project costs. The period of performance runs through February 28, 2027, with place of performance in Portland, Oregon. The Continuum of Care Program promotes community-wide commitment to ending homelessness and provides funding for nonprofit providers, states, and local governments to rapidly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation, promoting access to mainstream programs, and optimizing self-sufficiency.
