Description

During the last full humpback whale season (2018-2019), our goals were to reduce our response times on a call-out from 3 to 4 hours down to less than 1 hour, from receiving the "go" on a response call, to the time that the boats leaves the dock, heading out to where the whale is located. We achieved those goals. The 2019-2020 whale season was interrupted by the covid-19 virus, as well as the 2020- 2021 whale season. This year, our goals are to become more proficient with all of our equipment and with working in the different positions on the response boats, so that IT becomes second nature for all of our responders.
