This Project Grant award of $485,073 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) supports the City of St. Louis Homeless Services Division's efforts to combat homelessness in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The funding will enable the Homeless Services Division, operating as the Human Services Department, to provide a range of housing and supportive services to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families, while minimizing the trauma of homelessness and promoting self-sufficiency. Eligible activities include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. The Homeless Services Division coordinates these initiatives in partnership with local nonprofit organizations such as St. Patrick Center, Depaul USA, Covenant House Missouri, and Interfaith Residence (Doorways). The Division also administers supplementary programs addressing issues like domestic violence, senior care, and workforce development to deliver a comprehensive, holistic approach to combating homelessness in the community.
