THE DETROIT TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION (DTC) IS APPLYING FOR FFY 2021 SECTION 5307 CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE AND RELIEF SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT (CRRSAA) FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $2982371 REPRESENTING A 100% FEDERAL SHARE OF THE TOTAL ELIGIBLE COST. THE FUNDING WILL BE USED FOR OPERATIONAL EXPENSES. ANTICIPATED ACTIVITIES INCLUDE COVID-19 EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICES WHICH ENTAIL CLEANING TRAINS AND FACILITIES MAINTAINING EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES AND OTHER PREVENTATIVE AND SAFETY MEASURES THAT WILL LIMIT THE SPREAD OF VIRUSES. THIS WILL ALSO INCLUDE UTILITY EXPENSES AND RENTS. IN ADDITION WHILE THE SYSTEM IS NOT OPERATING FUNDING WILL BE USED FOR NON-REVENUE SERVICES SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO WAGES FOR EMPLOYEES ON PAID ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE DUE TO SERVICE REDUCTIONS.
