This Project Grant award of $604,099 was made by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) on March 11, 2025. The purpose of the CoC Program is to promote community-wide efforts to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency.
The funding will support the activities of the Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, a non-profit organization and community development corporation based in Detroit, Michigan. The agency will provide a range of eligible services under the CoC Program, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and potentially homelessness prevention. As a major recipient of HUD CoC grants, Wayne Metro will leverage this award to deliver rapid rehousing, case management, rental assistance, and other supportive services to help address homelessness in Wayne County.
