Description
As the condition of these windows deteriorate, more rainwater and snow melt and leak into exhibition areas, which directly threatens collections of hand tools, folk art, musical instruments, metalwork, pottery, vehicles, and a variety of other artifacts. Due to the presence of dripping and standing water, a number of these artifacts have been moved off site or covered with plastic sheeting, which significantly compromises the visitor experience. The survey will result in a comprehensive report, with recommendations and methodologies for repair and remediation intended to improve environmental conditions for the exhibited collections.
