Description

With guidance from occupational therapists, the exhibition will transform a room in the museum into a dark and quiet forest. Soundproofing will lower the volume in the room and provide a needed respite for families, while still providing a sensory rich environment in which children can explore and learn. The exhibition will be welcoming and engaging for both neurotypical children and those with sensory processing disorders, and will educate parents and caregivers on the benefits of sensory rich environments for child development.
