The U.S. Defense Health Agency awarded a $1,751,725 Project Grant to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to conduct research on "VALIDATION OF NOVEL DRIVERS OF JUVENILE POLYPOSIS SYNDROME" from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2027. CHOP, a pediatric hospital and research center, will use this funding from the Military Medical Research and Development program (CFDA 12.420) to transform health care for Service Members and the American public through innovative and impactful research on medical solutions for the battlefield. The project aims to advance the understanding and treatment of juvenile polyposis syndrome, a genetic condition that can lead to colorectal cancer in children. As a leading pediatric research institution, CHOP has extensive experience conducting government-funded biomedical research on pediatric diseases, genetic disorders, and public health initiatives.
