The Defense Health Agency awarded Thomas Jefferson University a $779,200 project grant under the Military Medical Research and Development program (CFDA 12.420) to conduct senotherapy research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) from April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2025. The grant will support basic, applied, and advanced biomedical research investigating medical solutions for ALS, consistent with the program's goals of transforming military and public health care through innovative research. Thomas Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Medical College will perform the work, focusing on developing and testing senotherapies to treat ALS and advance care for individuals with the condition.
