The Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration awarded Archways $349,999 on September 30, 2026, under the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Projects of Regional and National Significance program (CFDA 93.490) to expand peer-led, community-based recovery support for adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental disorders who are justice-involved or returning from incarceration in rural central New Hampshire. Archways will deliver recovery support services through four integrated recovery community organization and family resource center sites in Concord, Tilton, Franklin, and Plymouth. Certified recovery support workers will connect participants to recovery planning, treatment, employment, housing navigation, family support, transportation, and other community resources. The project will serve 240 unduplicated adults over three years: 60 in year one, 80 in year two, and 100 in year three. The population comprises adults age 18 and older with low income, SUD, and co-occurring mental disorders who are pre-trial, returning from jail or prison, under probation or parole supervision, or otherwise affected by legal-system involvement. Strategies include peer recovery support services delivered by staff with lived experience, pre-release engagement and post-release stabilization, individualized recovery coaching and plans, and trauma-informed recovery support tailored to rural recovery resources. The period of performance runs from September 30, 2026, through September 29, 2029. Place of performance is Tilton, New Hampshire, serving Belknap, Grafton, and Merrimack Counties.
