This Project Grant award of $397,964, funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) under the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Projects of Regional and National Significance (CFDA 93.243) program, will support the New York State Unified Court System (UCS) in increasing access and availability of services to 200 adult male and female offenders with substance use disorders who are eligible for the Manhattan Diversion Courts (MDC) over 5 years. The key services to be provided include: substance use and/or co-occurring treatment and recovery services such as screening, assessment, clinical case management, and referrals; community linkages to substance use disorder treatment, mental health services, primary healthcare, and aftercare; and recovery support services including case management, employment assistance, cognitive behavioral exercises, and peer mentoring. The UCS has sub-awarded a portion of the funding to Eac, Inc., a non-profit organization, to provide dedicated case management, monitoring, recovery support services, and data collection for the project.
