The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $221,106 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant to the Georgia Housing & Finance Authority for the period of January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. The CoC Program (CFDA 14.267) provides funding to nonprofit organizations, states, and local governments to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma of homelessness. Through this grant, the Georgia Housing & Finance Authority's Housing Policy and Administration Division will deliver a range of eligible activities including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. These services aim to promote community-wide commitment to ending homelessness, enhance access to mainstream programs, and optimize self-sufficiency among those experiencing housing insecurity in the Atlanta metropolitan area and across Georgia.
