The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $171,753 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) grant to The Volusia / Flagler County Coalition For The Homeless, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Daytona Beach, Florida. This one-year project grant, awarded on August 1, 2024, supports the Coalition's efforts to address homelessness in Volusia and Flagler counties through a range of housing and supportive services. The grant funding will be used to provide permanent housing, transitional housing, rapid rehousing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. By leveraging these federal resources, the Coalition plays a crucial role in minimizing trauma, promoting access to mainstream programs, and optimizing self-sufficiency for individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity in the local community.
