The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $741,021 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) grant to the County of Miami-Dade Controller Division on March 11, 2025. This project grant will fund a range of activities to address homelessness in the Miami metropolitan area, including:
Providing permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing, transitional housing, and supportive services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Funds may also be used for homeless management information systems (HMIS) and homelessness prevention initiatives. The goal is to decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness by reducing the length of time homeless, returns to homelessness, and increasing exits to permanent housing.
As the grant recipient, the County of Miami-Dade Controller Division will serve as the lead in implementing these homeless assistance efforts. The specific subrecipient activities are unknown at the time of the award.
