The Office of the Secretary of Defense awarded Purdue University a $599,027 Project Grant under the Basic Scientific Research program (CFDA 12.431) to support research collaboration from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025. The grant will fund dispersive detection of charge state research on superconducting vortexes. As part of its mission to support basic research related to improving Army programs, this award will allow Purdue University researchers to investigate properties of superconducting materials that could further scientific understanding with potential long term benefits for defense technologies. The three year period and funding amount of $599,027 will allow for a substantive research collaboration on this technical topic.
