Description

There are several key activities that the agency engages in including capture and radio collaring to assist in the location of wolf dens to be used for fostering and as a basis for the annual count of document population status. As a part of this program data management and analyses will be performed as needed. An important aspect of wolf recovery is to assist livestock operators and the FWS in investigations of areas with high livestock depredations and to provide insight in methods to reduce depredations such as effective husbandry practices. The agency will also coordinate with the other members of the IFT to produce media information and periodic progress and status reports as required.
