Description
This goal will be achieved through ongoing studies at the california department of fish and wildlife marine wildlife veterinary care research center. These studies include postmortem examinations of sea otters and subsequent analysis of necropsy findings and diagnostic tests. Studies involve collecting and archiving biological samples for future analysis. The specific objective of this study is to purchase an ultralow freezer for storage of biological samples (e.g., blood and urine). This freezer will replace a freezer at the facility that is currently failing, and IT will complement several other ultralow freezers used for archiving sea otters samples.
